Move Out Requirements

To ensure a smooth move-out process, please note the following important details:

  1. Notice of Intent to Vacate: Your lease must have expired, and you are required to provide Broadstreet Properties with a written notice of your intent to vacate.  If you’re on a fixed-term lease, you must provide your notice two (2) full calendar months before your intended move-out date. As of September 2025, all new leases in Alberta include a one-month notice period to end early, along with a $1,000 re-rental fee. For those on a flexible month-to-month lease, one (1) full calendar month’s notice is required before you wish to vacate.

  2. Responsibilities if Lease is Not Expired: If your lease has not yet expired, you will be responsible for any damages or loss of income as outlined in your signed lease or renewal agreements.

  3. Security Deposit: To help you avoid charges against your security deposit, we are providing an estimated time that will be used to calculate any charges if you do not complete the required tasks.

  4. Normal Wear and Tear: Please be assured that all normal wear and tear will be taken into consideration.
